Snore Guards

The muscles in the neck relax when sleeping, and in some people this allows the soft tissue in the upper throat to vibrate. This makes the sound we know as snoring. Snorers are often made to feel guilty but often the causes of snoring are beyond their control. Snoring causes problems for both the sufferer and their sleeping partner both in terms of health and relationships.

Problems associated with lack of sleep due to snoring have been shown to include:

  1. Increased risk of stroke and heart attack due to high blood pressure
  2. Increased gastric reflux
  3. Daytime sleepiness
  4. Fatigue and poor motivation
  5. High stress levels
  6. Low sex drive

Snore-guards People who snore are also more at risk of developing a condition called Obstructive Sleep Apnoea, a condition where sufferers actually stop breathing for periods of time when they are asleep. This condition is potentially life threatening.

Hillary provides snore guards which are very beneficial to our patients.

A snore guard consultation is only £29.00 please contact Karen or Diane to make a Snore Guard Consultation.
